About The Club
The name Garville is synonymous with netball in South Australia. We are one of the State’s most successful and respected clubs and offer opportunities for players of all ages and backgrounds, whether they aspire to play for the Australia or simply to make netball a part of their life.

We are one of the inaugural Premier League clubs – the highest playing level in South Australia and the feeder competition for the Adelaide Thunderbirds – and have won more State League titles than any other team. We also field teams at all levels in the Adelaide Metropolitan Netball Division (AMND), from Sub-Primary through to Seniors.

Garville has a strong culture of fair play and we take as much pride in how our players and teams present themselves as we do in how they perform. We have become successful the right way. We have developed a coaching, mentoring and administrative structure that assists players to be the best they can and provide a safe, supportive and friendly environment for all our players and their families.
All games and training is held at Netball SA Stadium and trials are held for both summer and winter seasons. Dates for these are posted on the website together with competition dates, fees and registration details.

Club History
The Garville Netball Club was established in 1952 deriving its name from the Adelaide suburb, Woodville Gardens, where the club was based for many years. Over the years it has earned the reputation as one of Australia’s best and well known netball clubs.

It has produced 18 international representatives – more than any other club in South Australia – including two Australian captains. Dual world championship captain Michelle den Dekker, dual world championship player Jennifer Borlase and Chris Burton have all played with Garville.

From 1987 to 1996 Garville played in every State League Grand Final, winning the title six times including four successive titles from 1992 until 1995 making it the most successful club at State League level.
The club also holds the record for the most successive South Australian A grade premierships from 1962 to 1967 and has won more A grade titles than any other team in the history of netball in South Australia.
Today Garville focuses on maintaining its playing success across all grades, while building on our reputation for fair play, player support and a competitive spirit. With more than 28  teams competing in 2016, we are also one of Adelaide’s largest and most popular clubs.
